As a music critic, it’s not everyday that you’re able to have a conversation that is longer than the interview itself, but that is the type of outgoing person that the_Network guitarist Pete Marr is. Easily one of the friendliest guys I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to, Marr was colorful and witty in our back-and-forth banter, especially with the topics that didn’t make it onto tape. At around one minute into Gojira's new album, The Way Of All Flesh, something should strike you - the music sports that generic, repetitive metal sound of chugging guitars and indistinguishable lyrics. But don't let the opening track turn you off. Give the CD a full listen and you'll find that there's a pretty decent album in these French metal heads.
